ROME HERITAGE EDITION

Preferred by five generations of distinguished Romans. Now worldwide.

Since 1870, Schostal has been part of Rome’s story—woven into the fabric of the Eternal City itself. The very first shop sign on Via del Corso read “To the City of Vienna,” a tribute to the brand’s founders, two Viennese brothers. Back then, Vienna was the style capital of elegance, and Schostal quickly became the staple for distinguished Romans who demanded garments of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

They understood that true gentlemen are recognized by the details—and Schostal made sure every detail was flawless, from the collar of the shirt to the tips of the socks.

150 years of mutual trust

In the early 1900s, the company was taken over by Lazaro Bloch, the first Roman store owner. His family carried the Schostal legacy forward for another hundred years, passing it down through five generations.
Through two World Wars, Bloch stayed true to the same principles that made Schostal stand apart: exquisite fabric selection, honest pricing, and a knack for detail. He kept the doors open as long as he could uphold the highest standards—and when the black market of the 1940s threatened that integrity, he chose to close. He gave up easy profits to protect something far more valuable: the reputation of his name and the trust of his customers.

A story of values - never compromises.

And that’s why, 150 years later, those who choose Schostal know exactly what they’re in for: ageless taste, Italian craftsmanship, and the kind of quality that never goes out of fashion.
